Tough Mudder x2

The first weekend of November, Larry did his second Tough Mudder race, and extreme obstacle, 12 mile run. He finally convinced my brother Wes to run with him this year, and his friend Jason and Jason's friend Lee completed the team. The guys did a great job, running almost the entire time, completing every obstacle, and even saving a few lives along the way (no, really!! a girl froze up in the ice bath and could't get out, and someone whose whole body cramped up and they couldn't take another step or catch their breath). Very proud of these Tough Mudders and they can wear their orange headbands and feel awesome for another year!! This is a really tough  race (no pun intended) and they did a great job!

The Savage Team: Larry, Justin, Mike, Ben

Larry joined his cousin Justin's team for the recent Savage Race (10/19/13) held out at Everglades Ranch, about an hour north of us. The race course was 7 miles, with 25 different obstacles along the way with names like Sawtooth, Colossus, Mud N Guts, Shriveled Richard, and many other with not-so-PG names. They powered thru the course with no problems, and had fun! (Yes- they were putting themselves thru that for FUN!!) Larry considered it a great warm-up for his upcoming Tough Mudder race... here's hoping that one will go as great!
